How long for New York State Income Tax Return 2007?

I have been waiting for over a month for my 2007 New York State Income Tax return. How long did it take to get yours back? My return was filed on March 3rd and was accepted by the state on the the 6th of March. Anyone file around this time and gotten their refund yet?

It is my understanding that NYS has made calculation errors on a lot of peoples Tax Returns this year. It had something 2 do with the tax retutns that have credits on them … ex. dependant care credit, touition credits, etc. They sent out a bunch of checks & had 2 pull them all back because their system calculated the credits wrong. So, I was told that they are "working on the problem"… & they couldnt say when it would be fixed.

I filed mine feb 2, 08. So, u are not the only one waiting.

will the us government ever stop taking too much of my money?

has this ever happened in another country where there was true Tax Reform or is this they way it will always be? with my 5% state Income Tax, soc sec, and fed tax I think I am well over 50% after I pay both the front taxes on my check and the rest ( property, excise, gas, sales, etc ) once I get what little the government lets me keep.

The United States has the lowest tax burden of any western industrialized nation. I doubt there is a place you would like better that would cost less.
